eARTh Community Clay studios is a home studio with a breathtaking view. It is not just a pottery studio, it is an inspired playground for adults, kids and anyone who likes to play with mud.

Hands on Help and personalized instruction are at the core of this experience. The friendly atmosphere supplies warm feedback and creative motivation to help you discover your inner potential.  

Owner and teacher Diane Walters has worked with clay for thirty years and the learning industry for twenty.
Sharing her experience and learning from others is at the core of this small business.

eARTh Community Clay studios  is situated in beautiful studio with a view in Uphill Nelson, BC, Canada, located at 1116 Latimer St, Nelson, BC.

This is the place to shape your world...

 

If you've ever dreamed of having your own light-filled art studio, eARTh Community Clay studios is for you. If you haven't touched clay since the fourth grade,or are in fourth grade, we'll be happy to give you lessons in throwing, handbuilding or glazing. If you are a practiced potter, you'll appreciate our wheel room and handbuilding work areas, Shimpo wheels and slab roller, our selection of stains and glazes, and our regular firing schedule. Everything you need is right here.  Experienced Potters and Sculptors make up a team of ceramic professionals who are ready to share their talents.

 eARTh Community Clay studios is an open studio, with occasional workshops and a host of inspirational work from studio potters. If you are a novice or advanced potter, student, family, senior or school, eARTh Community Clay studios can meet your needs. We offer full or partial kiln firings, day and evening classes and school programs.

 Upcoming Summer Camps and High School Youth Intensive!

Summer is a time to be making and creating dishes and sculptures out of clay and stone!

Four age groups and one to two week sessions will be taking place for children aged 5-7 ($125. one week) and children 8-12.($225.two weeks) Students 12-14 will learn to use beginner Wheel throwing techniques. (225.two weeks) Stone, Clay, glazes and firings included in fee for children under 14. High School students $65. for materials and supplies.

Children 8-12  1:00-2:30 p.m. one week (125)

Students 12-14 1:30-3:00 one week (125.)

All 8 week classes are 210.00 + first bag of clay for an additional fee of $20.00. Glazes and firing included. Taxes apply

All 5 week classes are $125.00

Children's 4 week Clay classes are  noted above. prices vary per age group+$20. clay, glaze and firing fee.

Registrations required as space is limited.

Kiln firings: $80.00 full load, $40 half, $20 a shelf, $12.50 half-shelf
